From a mile away, people can see this monument which is sitting on the top of a knap. Today, the windmill dose not remain the farming function, but a new job she has taken is that, a sign of arriving Wijchen town.

Privacy and Veiwing

上面照片中的公寓阳台对面,是一条河流(在上一篇日志中提到的河流),　此河流是这座公寓周围最美的景色,设计时当然不能将它遮挡住,所以公寓前没有大树.但是,注意照片右侧的公寓的二楼,左侧的阳台上有白色的遮挡物,相信是住家自行设置的.　可能住家担心人们从旁边的公寓可以'窥'到自己的隐私?　我想建筑师当初设计的时候已经考虑到左右两栋公寓之间的私密性了,因为左边的公寓已经被set back.

Asymmetrical Facade

不对称的外立面,但是我猜它的Plan是比较对称的.注意阳台中间半圆的部分,为什么一楼偏要与上面的二,三楼不一样?　弧形屋顶为什么不包裹整个建筑?　为什么左右的brick部分也一高一低?　dissolve the sense of symmetry? 这种Plan和facade的关系是不是可以联系到Vanna Venturi House? 设计师到底是怎么想的?　好神秘啊,哈哈.

Living in the boxes

如果你曾看过擅长以静观动的新加坡摄影师苏建隆的组屋肖像照,你会发现这张照片与苏的照片很相似.虽然没有一个人在照片上,但是充满了生活气息,阳台上的每一件物品都在诉说人们的生活.　记得Glenn Murcutt建筑设计比赛中,有一个作品讨论的就是阳台的定位问题,阳台既不是inside,也不是outside.在这句话的基础上，如果我们再想，为什么在中国，有无数的家庭愿意在阳台上再添加窗户，使阳台成为一个完全封闭的空间呢?　我想人对阳台的定位能反映出一个地区的生活方式和当地环境的变迁.当我们不愿意再把窗户按在阳台上的时候,或许我们的生活质量提高了,环境变美了,污染变少了,治安变好了.

Hiding

二楼的人家特别注重隐私,不仅阳台上加板,连brick一侧的窗户也统统紧闭,和邻居的"门户敞开"有着鲜明的对比.我猜住着得不会是户中国家庭吧?

Bad Entrance

入口是个非常让人不想回家的入口,最底层的窗户也设计的十分awkward.　底层有这么大的窗户的同时,是不是应该有相应的植被做遮掩?

这房子其实很普通,不过我猜摆到国内,人们还接受不了,说不定销售情况会很差,就像王澍在杭州的积木屋,销售比较惨淡.

Why not buy a house on this street?

之所以去荷兰的Wijchen是因为在网上认识的驴友(travel parter)在Wijchen可以提供免费住宿.首先我要感谢这位驴友能有机会让我认识Wijchen.Wijchen是个小镇,小镇的人们一般都比较友善.整个城市以一条河流为中心,典型的欧洲城市布局.小镇给我的感觉就像是一座Simcity里建起来的城市,它太完美了,我甚至不想继续旅行了.
